How to order updated paper charts – Print on Demand (POD)

The Norwegian Mapping Authority does not sell paper charts, but Print on Demand (POD maps) can be ordered and purchased from approved dealers in Norway and abroad (see dealer lists below). POD nautical charts are updated fortnightly with updates and corrections reported in Notices to Mariners (EFS).

Note that the Norwegian Mapping Authority also offers a number of free products, such as free trip map printing from Norgeskart.no.

Overview of the charts

On norgeskart.no you can find the chart sheet section for land maps and nautical charts by clicking on the menu icon in the top left corner, selecting the pull-out arrow next to "Chart sheet overview", and then chart series.

The nautical chart series is divided into 45 harbour charts, 143 main charts + 22 for Svalbard, 12 coastal charts and 12 general charts. At Sea | Kartverket.no

Historical maps

Historical maps can be downloaded for free from our historical map download solution. If you want a better print or a larger format than what you get on your own printer, you can order a print through our dealers. Historiske kart | Kartverket.no
